Oh oh...where's Soluble Fish!

I visited one in Manhattan over the summer, that was recommended to me by another FP member here, Soluble. Except I can't remember for the life of me what it was called, or it's location. :%) Soluble can give subway directions...but hasn't been around much lately. >.<

I had a thread on it too, but it was too long ago that you can't view it anymore I think.

I'll look for it though, my parents might remember.

EDIT:

NVM! :%)

I found the thread. Click HERE

And if you want to see an overstocked koi tank, eat lunch at Noodles 21.

I am going to check out a place in Chinatown the end of Feb/beginning of March that has been reccomended to a betta board I am on. Apparently there are 2 stores in the same area with the same name and this one is the better of the two. I went back in some of the old posts and found the address and phone #.

Win Tropical Aquarium
169 Mott Street (bet. Grand & Broome)

ask for Ray, open 7 days a week: 10 am - 8 pm

the other one not to be confused with the one above is on the corner of Mott and Broome same side)
I guess the shipments come in (at least they used to I will try and double check) Mondays at 2.

Hehehe...here I am!

The only place I will buy fish from is New World Aquarium on 38th street. The whole address and how to get there is in the thread Ferret linked to.

I've checked out many fish stores in Chinatown, including Win Tropical Aquarium (which is a 5 min walk from me). Umm....let me just say you are better off just checking out New World Aquarium...don't waste your time...

PM me if you want any more info!

Soluble!!!

Nice to see ya around girl. Know you've been busy with the apps and stuff.

How is the selection of LR and corals up there? I can't remember as I wasn't into SW at the time of my visit, and I can't really make the hour trip just to "look." Mind being a salty scope for me.

doedogg...maybe i am thinking of the other Win Tropical Aquarium....

Ferret, New World Aquarium has a very good selection of corals and such. I know they feed top of the line food and take great care with the stock. They have a couple of tanks full of corals and live rock that look quite healthy to me (but pricy!)

The guy could just be raving about the quality of the bettas they get in and not looking at the whole picture.:%)
I'm still going to check it out (for the bettas). I just have to figure out how I'm going to get them home on the train!
