About a month ago racso got me a dwarf hamster Well, he got her before he had a cage for her, so he thought it was a good idea to keep her with his dwarf hamster until he could get it. Now, we have 6 instead of 2.

Here are some pics. They're not very good. I'll get better ones after I get back from vacation.

well, maybe you'll breed a new strain of hamsters that don't go psycho and bite fingers

Boy do I know how that goes. I got two dwarfs last year, and I was told they were both boys...I was told wrong. They were way too young to sex properly and I had a nice little batch of the critters. Actually three batches. They said not to take the male out, and come to find out, he was right back at it as soon as the babies were born .
Since the hamsters were brother and sister, one of the babies was born missing his front right hand...I named him Stumpy. He got to be about 7 months old and passed away last night

Congrats. I had dwarf hamster babies a few months ago. What happened is I got a female dwarf from the pet shop. And 2 days later she had 5 little babies. When I got her, I didnt even know she was pregnant, i mean yeah i thought she was a little fat but i didnt even think she may be pregnant. I kept 3 boys, and gave the mom and the other away. I gave 1 to my friend. There was 4 boys and only 1 girl. They are ssooo cute though. Good Luck, and please post new pics when they get older. Dwarfs are ssoo cute
