Cool! You will enjoy it there. Its just on the other side of the "hill" from me. Pack warm clothes though as snow has already started to fall in the mountains, and the temps even down in Denver are dropping into the 40's at night.

it's already starting to snow? we'll be staying probably somewhere between durango and silverton - about 8,500 feet up - not bad really - is it snowing that far down yet?

Yup, its already starting to snow in the Mountains. On the 27th of this month (yesterday) it was snowing at North Fork Valley......I believe they got 2 feet of snow.

You should ride on the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. You'd be able to take some good pictures, because it's really scenic.
