and??

Why worry - grades mean absolutely nothing in real life! Trust me, I've been in full time education 20 years now, non stop!!!!!

yeah, grades are only important to parents and school administrators as long as you're learning the material, that's what matters

and shannen, how did you reply to a post with no topic?

Um, getting into a good college and getting a good college application often requires good grades...

However, grades often do not reflect how much you are fully learning. I.E. one of my H.S. math teachers had most of the grade homework, however I HATED doing it because I knew the material better than the teacher sometimes and it seemed pointless to me. Anyway, because i almost never did homework, I had very low grades in the class, however passed all tests with flying colors.

On the other end, the proper way of grading IMO, was a college Chemistry class. The grade was based on how you applied learned techniques and remembered certain things in lab and test scores. I did about 3 or 4 of the 20+ homework assignments and got the highest B possible (he told me after meeting up after that class that if I had just ONE MORE POINT in his gradebook, i would have had an A).

It might be better off, it'll teach you to work harder next semester.

Reminds me...

Most people know I'm a competitive gymnast. This year, I missed getting all-leauge by less than a tenth of a point. That basically means one more toe point in any of my routines all season would have gotten me the award. Instead, I got stuck with honorable mention again.

My coach said that it'll just drive me to work harder next year, and she knows I'll get it then.

Keep your chin up, study a little harder, and you'll be proud when you make the 90.

Chris I am so sorry, I know how bad that stinks! and hun it wasn't 0.1 it was more like 0.08 that you missed it by I'm so sorry, I know how frustrating that is.

Think of it this way. When I was in college and still married my husband (now ex) and I took Chemistry II together. I rightfully made an A and he a C, but the professor didn't think that would be fair, me being female and all (yes, one of those types) and decided that we would each get a B. I had like a 96 average, and he had a 72 or so, how is that fair? Really ticked me off!]:|Still does now that I think about it.
