mariosim![]() Enthusiast Posts: 207 Kudos: 245 Votes: 20 Registered: 28-Jul-2004 ![]() ![]() | this may pertain to the 30 yr plus crowd. my 2 sons discovered my childhood comic book stash this morning. after spending 6 hours looking at 20 year old + comics, one common thread became apparent. most had ads on the last page for a foot locker full of army men for several bucks. same for roman legions (with working catapults), USA civil war armies, and d-day recreations. some had ads for x-ray glasses, sea monkeys, gags, and magic tricks. very few hawked working rockets (from the 50s). aside from the sea monkeys (brine shrimp), i never responded to the other ads. has anyone ever ordered a "foot locker" full of soldiers, or anything else from a comic book? was it all garbage? |

The foot locker full of Army men wasn't even a foot long, full of poorly molded, microscopic soldiers. On a related note, you are keeping these old comics properly bagged an boarded, right? ![]() |
