Foxglove is interesting, it can be used for heart conditions in very small amounts but it's highly toxic. An interesting one that you might want to look into researching on your own (because I doubt there'd be much business in selling it) is aconite, which has been used historically as a poison. It was the herb used to make the sleeping potion in Romeo and Juliet. It also has medicinal uses in very low doses. |

Aconite grows like weeds all over my city....the active alkaloid is insanely poisonous, but is most concentrated in the root mass. Aconite has been used many, many times in murders and suicides through history, and can be added to an ointment to ease joint and muscle pain, but the risk of accidental overdose even in such a use is too high for it to be marketed. I have in recent years maintained a herb garden that consisted of Belladonna atropa, Aconitum napellus, Artemesia absinthum, Datura stramonium, Datura inoxia, Hyoscyamus niger, Origanum dictamnus, Salvia divinorum, Strychnos toxifera, Papaver somniferum, and Conium maculatum....just 'cause. |

V important is the fact that some herbs have contra indications for people with high blood pressure or diabetes as they increase circulation etc. Some also increase photo sensitivity so shouldn't be applied topically if going into direct sun and some shouldn't be applied topically. There are legal implications to saying preparations have certains actions so the wording is very important. Check it out online. Sometimes wording states "may be helpful in the treatment of..." All the best ~~~ My fish blow kisses at me all day long ~~~ |
