	recent visit to omaha zoo
greenmonkey51 Fish Master Posts: 1571 Kudos: 1692 Votes: 5 Registered: 28-Jan-2004	i went to the omaha zoo today and saw big fish. who are commonly abused in excellent conditions. here a list of what i saw arapima giga (things were huge) pacus(should put picture of how big they are next to them in lfs) tinfoil barbs(school of over 100) oscars(surprising never seen them there) various vict cichlids(saw one with 2ft round hole built and was still building many common plecs red-tail cat(big) firemouths( lots of them over 100)

They used to have Silver Arowannas in with the Arapima...the Arapimas ate the Arowannas! Did you know that they have Rhinopias in the aquarium?

He hides near the logs if you are facing it on the far left side I can't possibly post them all as I have hundreds from that zoo. I am a member and it is not quite 10 minutes away. Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn.
