I was wondering if anyone here has seen it. I saw it tonight and I am really scared by scary movies. This one, however, was so un-scary it was funny. I was literally roaring whith the part when the deers attacked the car. And the guy's face at the end. Priceless. I was just wondering what all of you thought of it.

Waiting for it to come out on DVD so I can buy it used. Wont risk the 20+ bucks on a potentially bad movie. Rather save my money for Star Wars this summer.

I'm petrified of scary movies and The Ring (which I allowed myself to be dragged to see in the theaters, BIG mistake) really did a number on me. I've been thinking of seeing this one to try and get it out of my system, but even supposedly not-scary movies often scare me, so I'm not sure ....

Scary movies normally don't bother me in the least bit. But the Ring one scared the crap out of me. I did watch it by my self in the dark and the surround sound was very well done.

I'll get part 2 when it comes out on divid.

It is a very, very rare horror flick (and believe you me, I have seen 95% of all that have been made) that even gives me pause, and from what I have seen, this one will be no exception. The Ring I was tedious, so I am not expecting much...I will wait for the DVD.

The Ring I enjoyed forst of all in the cinemas, was sat there hands over my eyes (which is odd for me) and then nothing scary happend, I was like what the hell am I sat here liek this for?!?!

It was good but I never bought it, it just wasn`t scary for a scary movie IMO, just kinda twisted and weird :%)

The Ring one was fairly lame, up until the part where Samara crawls out of the TV (as in, I nearly wet myself). For no real reason other than it was produced by the Japanese, the original versions were far scarier. As for other recent dead-girl-kills-people-flicks, Grudge, though stupid, was graphically frightening.

Which version, though? I understand that the Japanese flick was far more frightening than the one produced in the US.

IMHO, the Japanese and Koreans make the best scary movies. We have quite a collection of them and it's funny to hear just how many of them are being re-made by Hollywood just lately. If you like these sorts of movies, do yourself a favour and buy the original, they're way better

Both. The U.S. version was, IMO, on par with the Japanese version--neither had much plot, but Yoko's jaw missing still makes me cringe thinking about it. I thought the Japanese approach was pretty neat, with multiple protagonists, etc.

For some reason, that stop-action dead person stuff bothers the heck out of my subconcious so I've not been keeping up with the latest horror movies. I absolutely hate it when they come up with some great new graphics technique and then every movie has to include the exact same things over and over and over (like that stop-motion Matrix stuff- is it ever going to go away???)

I'll admit that The Ring really bothered me, but it was only because I had been so hesitant to watch it, thinking it was going to be really scary, and then it was so NOT scary it was frightening...

Also, the pathetic story-line they used to create the movie in the first place makes me wonder how in the heck they could have run with it for another 90 mins or so of sequel...

I guess I can save the sequel for some time when I have rented everything else in the video store and am desperate for a disturbing hour and a half of TV or something...

L.
