i doubt anyone here has heard of most of the bands i listen to.

underoath, cartel, story of the year, yellowcard, emery, norma jean (not marilyn), hopesfall, thrice, poison the well, 7-10 split, my chemical romance, hot water music, hot hot heat, the yeah yeah yeahs, killswitch engage, throwdown, eighteen visions, terror, bury your dead, across five aprils, bleeding through, coheed & cambria, thursday, AFI, mae, beloved, cool hand luke... am i boring you yet? the list goes on and on... haha. its so hard to pick a favorite, but i guess if i had to choose it would be:

"A Boy Brushed Red..." by UnderOATH

that will probably change by next week.

The only bands that I had that most people didn't know were Chevelle and Seether, but now they've both made it big

OH YEAH!

*Runs off to ticket office to get tickets to Seether concert in August* Oh yeah...I think they're bringing that other band, Evanescence with them too...

Well, I'm rather spread in my tastes also, including:

Beethoven, Mozart for Classical...
Offspring, New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan for Punkish Rock...
Godsmack, Chevelle, Linkin Park, metallica for Harder Rock...
Nelly, Big Tymers, Eminem for Rap...
Charlie Robison, Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed for TX Country...
Garth Brooks, Diamond Rio for Regular Country...
DJ Irene, DJ Icey, Marco Piccoto for Trance...

Eh, I'm sure there's others, I like all kinds of stuff where I just like a certain song, such as "Easy Like Sunday Morning" and "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay"...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

odd that so many people who like fish, aka nice relaxing animals, also like metal. much hidden angst.

metal bands i like ( i hate most metal) will haven, nasum, system of a down, sikth, the haunted

like loads of stuff, current favourite bands
sonic youth, come, sleater kinney, the faint, melt banana, elliot smith, 60s girl-groups (esp the shangri las), idlewild, blur, my bloody valentine, joy division, big black, dinosaur jr, cat power, weezer, slint, pj harvey. and loads more, but that's what's been on my cd player over the last fortnight.

are any of you going to festivals this summer? might go to benicassim in spain, great bands and everything goes on til 6am, and there's a beach and a street where they sell litres of vodka and orange for 8 euros. it was so god last year.

I got Wilco's new album, "A Ghost is Born" about two weeks ago. It has moved up there with my all time favorite albums. It is rock and roll, but not pop or mainstream. It is a great "whole" album. "Theologans" is probably my favorite song on it, but several are close, such as "Kidsmoke" and "Hell is Chrome."

They even let you listen to it for free onthe internet, so if you are interested listen on www.wilcoweb.com.

Okay, it's really hard to list a few but here are my long time favorites, what I refer to as my car CD's (although some of them were recently stolen from my car in my driveway, the punk left behind the ones he didn't like-how dare he!)

the ones the thief took: Sarah McLachlan, Enya, Dave Matthews Band, Offspring (all 3 of them), Sheryl Crow, Blues Traveler and Garbage (2)
oddly enough left behind by thief: They Might Be Giants, Rush, Shakira, Aerosmith (actually hubby's)

My dad has played guitar since he was a teen so all the great bands from the 60's and 70's that he grew up with I just love, too. Of course a big fave is Jimi Hendricks but we tended to listen to Doobie Bros, CCR, that type of thing when I was young.

But my absolute favorite CD, Bon Jovi's Crossroads was in the car and taken... and I just bought a replacement... I have missed it so much. Really, Bon Jovi's album single of Livin' on a Prayer was the first album I ever bought with my own money. And I still love listening to them. My favorite nowadays is the song "Someday I'll be Saturday Night".

Well, this is embarrassing... I went to look in my car to see what was in there: The soundtrack for Jekyll and Hyde (2 discs), Rent (2 Discs), and Moulin Rouge (both discs)... Figured that didn't help this post, so i went and looked in the house player... Aida, The Producers, and Wicked (more Broadway Shows)... So, I guess I listen to mostly showtunes

But, I also like:
Dido (both cd's)- Fav song is #9 on her new cd, can't remember the name of it.
Fiona Apple (both cds)- Fav song is "Paper Bag" from "When the Pawn..."
No Doubt- Fav song is "Bathwater" from "Return of Saturn"
Enya- Fave song is "Tempest Vernum"
Coldplay (too many favorite songs, can't really pic one)
There are alot more, but i don't feel like going through my cd case.

Tucker

Absolutely everything, from Enya to Linkin Park.

I am eclectic. While I probably won't like everything put out by an artist (with the above mentioned being two close exceptions) I do occasionally listen to:

-Three Doors Down
-Linkin Park
-Enya
-John Mellencamp
-Pink
-Audio Adrenaline
-Jars of Clay
-Kutless
-Newsboys
-L7
-metallica
-Wierd Al
-Garth Brooks

And various others. There are loads, I can't even begin to list them all. Those are just the ones on the two recent CD's that I burned. Lots of variety!

I'm so adjective, I verb nouns!

I saw Big Head Todd and the Monsters last night. They were one of my favorite bands back in my college days. They put on a great show, just straight up rock and roll. Todd is an amazing guitar player.
