I've got all 3 gaming systems. Don't play much, but the kids do. I would have to say thier favorite is the PS2. We buy far more games for it than the other two combined

ps2 all the way!(I think some games can do 4 players if u have this special thingy) IMO 2 players is enough

PS2 is better by far, no comparison.

The look of the console is like a serious piece of equipment... the x box looks like a childs game.

The PS2 has better controllers...the box is rounded and has a strangely UFO feel.

The PS2 is black and sleek... the box is green with an x, what the heck is that.

ps2 is good if ur an only child or if u like to play by urself. I mean come on what was sony thinking 2 controler slots even netindo thought of 4.

I LIKE GLITCHES they make the game more fun (I think all sport games for consoles suck exept the ssx sieries)dunno if tekken counts as a sport though, another reason why ps2 is better is beacause u can play ps1 games also top that:88)

XBOX IS THE BEST EVER!!! Next to Sega Dreamcast.
PS2 is crap in comparison.
And by the way, the hockey games are better on Xbox, but only if you are talkin about the sega hockey games cuz the rest are bogus.
PS2 is an ok system, but I find it has too many glitches and the game graphics are cheesy in comparison to those of the Xbox - even in the same games!!!
Xbox is a much superior system. People you are comparing a console system to a computer, and never will the console come close.
Besides, Sony is one of the worst companies on the planet for underpaid overworked employees, and their machines have more bugs than even an RCA cd player!
Dreamcast is still the best system ever though.

i think x box is great and all but my ps2 old edition is really cool. with my new HDD i added i get three new socom 2 maps. that makes me very happy. ps if n.e 1 plays send me a friend invite. Stradivarius

I ment x-box controlls suck, can u get a pic of thease "slim" contollers

The PS2 isn't even capable of handling the Halo 2 graphics. No PS2 game can hold a candle to either of the games in the Halo series.

Well I like the Xbox because of the Live component. I get to play online with people all over the world and have met some cool people, even though it's just for a game. You get to learn alot about how others think.

Say anyone play Xbox games Live here? I usually spend time on Rainbow Six Black Arrow, Ghost Recon 2 and engaged in some Star Wars Battlefront sometime back if not for the bad online menu. Looking for team play games and hopefully lag-free. The gamertag's my nick.

Still hoping for that bonus that can finance my Gamecube.

Edit : Forgot to add Halo 2 as one of the games I play Live.

you get to play PS2 live too..its just called net access or something..ps2 has better games, xbox has better graphics. even though i have a PS2, i'd quite like an xbox....


EDIT: but how can we forget those great Ratchet&Clank and Jak&Daxter trilogies?

To me, the PS2 is a big let down. I loved my original playstation. I am interested in PSPs when they come out though.

Just saw this today, I know Final Fantasy is a huge series for PS2.

Uh? the FFs suck? I think the hoardes of supersaiyinDarkCloudSephirothFFX1 fanboys would disagree with you. So would the fact that this single game saved square from bankrupcy (hence the name Final Fantasy--as it was intended to be their "Final Fantasy", so to speak hyuck hyuck hyuck :is hit by a pan: ), and that sales of the following sequels (and Chrono Trigger) helped boost the company up to one of the "big three" SNES labels of the time. In fact, IMO, X was a rather mediocre game compared with other FFs. Graphically, it was spectacular, but truth betold, nothing in the game was particularly revolutionary.

have u seen metal gear solid 3 and gt4 graphics? they are better then alot of xbox games. PS2 all the way, cant wait tomorrow so i can pick up gt4.

i would say GTA games for ps2 and Madden 2005 for xbox.

GTA is also avilable on Xbox, San Andreas will be out shortly.

XBOX is a far better DVD player. I believe it is a 16x. I also would like to say that if u compare the graphics of HALO 2 to the graphics of ANY game on the PS2, you will see that the PS2 can't touch XBOX in the graphics department.

well i like them both as i have them both.i like Ps2 for the Grand theft auto games,but i recently got xbox for xmas and i seem to like that better since i beat all the games fgor my ps2.

Die Hard Dreamcast fan here.

I don't play video games much, but I still like the fact that the dreamcast can play other box's games, and can play burned disks without needing a mod chip installed. Unless the newer ones can do this. I doubt it tho.

Sony did not kill the dreamcast. Sega did. It's ability to play burned games was costing them a fortune in lost revenue from lack of game sales.

People would simply rent the game and burn a copy..*cough* not that I would ever do such a horrid act.

I own an Xbox and I like it. Can't say much about which is better since I never did try the PS2. Anyway the original games are cheaper for the Xbox over here since they aren't imports, so budget wise the Xbox is better from where I am. I am thinking of getting a Gamecube though... When's my bonus coming?

Anyway, I replied because someone was asking about Fable. Fable is a role playing game which can be played 2 ways, the long way or the short way. The short way is to rush through all the main quests. If you play that way you would think that the game is over hyped and too short for the money paid. I liked Fable because I took my time. I leveled my character, I got married in each village, went to bed with my wives often(Ermm is this statement considered not family friendly? Mods please remove it if it is not), murdered townsfolk and I became a property tycoon owning many buildings and renting them out. At one time I was basically travelling to each town to collect the rent. The graphics are pretty OK, not the best that Xbox has to offer.(Think Dead or Alive Ultimate) Story is the usual, kid's village is ravaged by bandits, kid learns to fight and use magic, kid kills the big bad nasty guy who killed his parents. Yeah, that short, but I recommend Fable to those who have had dreams of being a hero and could not. You can be good and have butterflies flitting around you when ever you move around or you can be bad and have flies buzzing around you. If you have had a bad day, you can go around doing rude gestures at townsfolk but your reputation can go down because of that. You can play pub games, drink alcohol and get fat eating unhealthy food. It's just a great big fantasy world. Well maybe not that big but big enough for one player.

That's just my review of the game, hope that helps.

I love the PS2, hands down. It plays my old favorites (Final Fantasy VII, etc.), plays DVD's, CD's, and the newer games too. Granted, the graphics aren't as great as the XBOX, and Halo is only on XBOX, but I can live without them.
