sodaaddict84 Enthusiast Posts: 255 Kudos: 108 Votes: 52 Registered: 02-Nov-2006 | i posted about 3 weeks ago about cloudy water and what not. well i asked for help about cloudy water. i was told its a bacteria bloom and my tank was mini cycling. i was told all kind of tips on how to clean gravel and change water... well i noticed when i did a water change even without gravel vac-ing i noticed i still had some cloudyness. what im thinking is the water condidtioner that i use isnt a good one.. i used to use tetra brand, but i ran out and i dint have much money so i used a cheap substitute for the time being but it is inferior so i think i will go back to tetra unless anyone has any suggestions *click *flash *click "whered he go???" |

The cloudy might be you have it to close to the light , light's on to much. When you say cloudy what is it brown on the glass or your water it's self? I no I have one tank with the wrong light's light were ment for a salt water tank and I have to clean the glass all the time.New once are coming. If it is your water I would get it tested after all you drink that water to edith |

I could not find your previous post so no idea about the cause of your problem. But my solution to this was patience. I cut down the feeding and did regular water changes. After a few weeks, my tank water was crystal clear. It stays that way as long as I do the routine maintenance of the tank. I have also tried some water clarifying product before - but I'm not sure if that was really necessary. |
