Family: | Siluridae |
Category: | Catfish_Bottom_Feeders |
Distribution: | Asia; Sumatra |

Diet: | Carnivore; A strict predator, though it will take prepared foods with minimal vegetable residue. |
Care: | Unlike its close and more commonplace relative Kryptopterus minor, this species is more orientated toward lower strata of the aquarium and requires cover. Caveture should be provided in which said fish can take up residence. It also will readily take foods from the substrate, whereas Kryptopterus minor prefers to snatch bypassing matter from the water column. It is less inclined to school than many others of its genus. |
