| Comments: | They are somewhat difficult plecos to obtain, but they are quite popular due to their coloration. There seem to be two distinct groups, if you will, of young l. galaxias; one which retains the markings of the adult fish, and another which has reticulation surrounding the individual dots, reminiscent of the patterning of potamotrygon sp. “pearl”. Yet these distinctly separate fish mature into a morphologically identical species. |
