Care: | Parancistrus are limnivores, deriving much of their nutrition from organic film deposits (aufwuchs). They are undemanding fish in regards to feeding and will accept most prepared foods. An interesting note; males of this species is capable of changing his color from goldish yellow to dark brown, especially ounced when stressed. |

Comments: | To entice a new Rubber Pleco to eat when first introduced to an aquarium, crush some peas onto the surface of a rock and place it into the aquarium at late in the evening. |
