Temperament: | Aggressive; Very Aggressive, Mix with other very aggressive Cichlids that can hold there own as this giant will pick on and kill weaker less aggressive tank mates. |
Diet: | Ominvore; These fish should be fed quality flakes or cichlid crumbles while juveniles, but as they grow they should be switched over to appropriately sized quality pellets. Krill, shrimp, live fish and worms can be given as a treat. |
Care: | Provide a tank of at least 75 gallons or larger for a single male. The tank should be well filtered and have a very sturdy hood. |
