Diet: | Herbivore; Extreme care should be taken when feeding Tropheus duboisi . Tropheus duboisi should be kept on an almost vegetable only diet. If given a diet with large amounts of protein, they certainly will have problems, ranging from bloat to death. Any good quality flake or pallet food made from vegetable matter is fine. Spirulina is an excellent choice. |
Care: | Duboisi should be cared for in an fairy large aquarium. These fish like to live in large groups and thus need plenty of space. A lot of rockwork with many hiding spots provides the best habitat for these fish. |

Gender: | The only sure way to sex duboisi is by venting, however, there are a few minor characteristics that may set them apart. Males tend to grow larger and mature faster than females. |
Breeding: | Duboisi are mouthbrooders, where the mother typicall takes care of the 15 to 20 eggs and fry. The mother will hold the fry and protect them for about 3 to 4. During this time, the male may attack the female. |
