Comments: | Can be confused with the Harlequin Rasbora (Trigonostigma heteromorpha) and with the Harlequin Rasbora Hengeli (Trigonostigma hengeli). The black triangle on the Harlequin Rasbora is larger than on the Espei or Hengeli. The Hengeli displays only a small orange coloration patch in front of the black triangle while the Espei is orange all the way to the face. |
