Synonyms: |
Family: | Gobiidae |
Category: | Blennoid_Gobioid |
Distribution: | Indo Pacific |
Main Ecosystem: | Sandy Marine |
Temperament: | Aggressive; Even though I have aggressive it is more like semi aggressive. It is a territorial fish and will fight with it`s own kind unless with a mated pair. |
Diet: | Carnivore; The Pink spotted goby will eat mysis shrimp, Brine shrimp and pieces of regular shrimp. Flake and other frozen foods are good also. The key with this fish as well as with most fish is variety. |
Care: | The care level with this fish is easy and should be in at least a 30 gallon tank. They do sift sand but not as much as the sand sifting gobies. They can be housed with a pistol shrimp in which they carry on a relationship with. They should be in a tank with a sand substrate. |

Comments: | As stated above it is a pretty easy fish for the SW tank including the reef tank. Care should be exercised on these fish because they are known jumpers. A glass top is not suggested because of poor gas exchange at the surface causing low PH. Egg crate is a much better solution. |
