Distribution: Indo Pacific; Central Indian Ocean to the western Pacific. Central Western Australian coast to northern New South Wales.

Temperament: Peaceful; Docile by nature, very good community fish. As with most blennies they will get along with more than one of their own species, provided each can establish their own territory, otherwise disputes may ensue.

Care: Hardy once established making them a good beginners species. Bicolour blennies are voracious eaters, generally accepting anything offered, a blenny that refuses to eat is a good indicator that something is wrong. Active diggers, liverock should be placed in a secure fashion, as to prevent toppling. Bicolour blennies are a very alert species, and very active feeders, when picking out a blenny they should be alert and feeding, any signs contrary to this and the blenny should be avoided.
