Temperament: | Aggressive; Damsels are well known for their fiesty behaviour, although they do not tend to become aggressive with other species. If you are planning on keeping more than 2 in the same setup, it should be at least 50gallons in size, as Damsels are noted for aggressive behaviour amongst themselves. |

Care: | A good beginner species, they accept a wide variety of foods. Blue Damsels much like the Yellow-Tail Damsel are probably among the most popular fish for beginner setups. They are extremely hardy, and due to this they are commonly used to cycle a saltwater tank, although this practice should be discouraged. Use rocky outcroppings. Liverock should be abundant. |
