Distribution: Indo Pacific; Clown Triggerfish or Big-spotted Triggerfish are found throughout the Ino-Pacific.
Main Ecosystem: Reef; A reef should be simulated, and there should be forms of shelter.
Temperament: Aggressive; Clown Triggerfish are among the largest and most aggressive of the Triggerfish. This should be considered when choosing tankmates.
Diet: Ominvore; Clown Triggers are Ominvores, but meat should make up most of their diet. All kinds of meaty foods including squid, shrimp (the same kind people eat), mussels, and different variaties of chopped up fish should be fed multiple times daily. Clown Triggerfish also accept all kinds of live, frozen, and flake foods
Care: A minimum 100 gallon aquarium is recommended. Clown Triggerfish should never be kept with their own kind, unless for breeding purposes or if the tank is large enough to safely house both of them.

Comments: Clown Triggerfish need lots of space, caves and rocks are needed for the fish to retreat into. House them with other appropriate fish that have similar needs and can hold their own against the Clown Triggerfish if needed.
Also never keep with smaller fish or invertebrates.
