| Old Text: | The most popular freshwater tropical fish. The neon tetra is highly recommended for community fish tanks. They are best kept in schools of eight or more. They are very beautiful when kept in large groups. The neon tetra should not be kept with angelfish, because the tetras will most likely be eaten. Beware though, neon tetras can be susceptible to disease due to constant inbreeding. The Black Neon is not a color variety, but a different species.-----------
