earthworms
prawns/shrimp
small fish (not very random)
small crawdads or crabs (hard shells and kinda agressive, not as good an idea!)
meals worms ( decapatated or head smashed so they arent live anymore, but helpful so that the mealworms do not destroy the intestines)
thats about all i can think of atm...

I've fed my cichlids all sorts of random bugs (june bugs, spiders, flies (tear their wings off and throw 'em in the tank), mealworms, crickets, etc) with varying degrees of success, but they usually eat 'em.

My brother used to feed his channel catfish all sorts of stuff (pizza, random bits of meat, other misc table scraps, etc). I wouldn't recommend feeding that kind of stuff to an oscar, though.

i wouldnt feed toomuch terrestrial beast meat though... or flies... flies have a tendency to lay eggs every where and at the LFS near me they used to have a fly trap and feed them to the oscars... one of them died and they put them in bags and toss them in the corner until the end of the day... the end of the day came and it was full of maggots (in a sealed bag, never in open air where a fly could lay eggs or maggots move from another place.) it sounds weird, but they said NEVER FEED FLIES after that... also the strong iron and other mineral concentration in terrestrial meats may be ok from time to time, on a frequent basis they arent good for fish... at least thats what i heard in chat one time...

like beef, chicken, pork, etc...
most bugs are ok to feed, just dont do flies or anything too large that could create a mess...

thats about it... maybe try culturing flour beetles or something... that could prove helpful...
