25 US gallons(30"x12.5"x16" )
- 6 Platies
- 4 Peppered Cories
The tank is fake planted with caves and driftwood. pH is around 7.4. And the temperature is between 76F and 78F.

If it was up to you, what would you add to the stock?

First at least 2 cories for certain. Cories need groups of 6 or more to be happy. Then if all the platies are of the same gender and not going to overstock that tank in the next few months I might add a dwarf gourami.

some sort of danio or minnow

white cloud mountain minnows are really nice looking and different from the same ol' zebra danio, but they're still pretty lively.

I'd add 4 more peppered cories (the more there are, the happier they are), and a school of pygmy cories (15-20)

Then again, that's just me... I'm going to have 30 cories in my 29g when I'm finished stocking it (yep, getting another school of cories... yep, peppereds are showing spawning behavior again)

Thanks for all the suggestions!

My first choice would be the Pygmy Cories and maybe a Dwarf Gourami or Rams. But I don't know if I'd be able to find any Pygmies any more.

I also liked the Rainbowfish idea. But I'd rather go with Boesemani or Praecox. How would either of those choices work out?

no, the boeseman's will get to large for that tank. they need a large tank with open swimming area. a 75 gallon would be better for a school of boeseman.

After thinking about it some more, I've come up with 3 options that I'd like to do.

1) 8 Pygmy Cories & 1 dwarf Gourami
2) 5 Praecox Rainbowfish
3) 2 Bolivian Rams, 2 Cherry Barbs, & 2 Peppered Cories

Good idea, bad idea, slight modification needed, let me hear your opinions.

you could get a peaceful african, because they like the high ph level and the caves you have in there. try a krib or a yellow lab (electric yellow cichlid)
