 | Black Mystery Snails |
Inkling  Fish Addict Posts: 689 Kudos: 498 Votes: 11 Registered: 07-Dec-2005   | Okay. I got in a debate with someone about black mystery snails. Is it true that the cant breed? I always thought they could. Although I believe that they can either be male or female (like the gold ones) this person thought they were asexual and multiply on there own. Who is right? (ugh, I don't like haveing my facts wrong)  Inky |

Apple Snails need to have 2 to reproduce. A lone female may lay eggs, but they will never hatch because she wasnt fertilized by a male. And yes, they do have "sex".
