I originally bought 1 male and 2 females. I kept them in a 20H tank with other fish, snails and plants. The fish have since then either be sold to the LFS or moved to a 90 gallon tank. So the only remaining critters in there is 1 Gold apple snail, Malaysian trumpet snails and the 3 shrimp. This was about 2 months ago. Since then, the 3 shrimp have been breeding. I saw miniature versions of the adults swimming about in there. The babies are much larger now, though the adults are still much bigger. I even see some new smaller babies too now. Also the 2 females look like they have eggs again. I always see the adult male chase the 2 females. So right now I'm not sure how many shrimp I have in there due to the plants providing cover, but I think I have at least 10 in there.
