My little Marshall's tank needs a reno/upsize, so I thought I'd get some ideas ![]() He needs plenty of water space, but really needs an area to clamber out as well. He seems to eat his decorations and is a bit destructive, but doesn't do too much purposeful redecoration, like burrowing etc. |

So far the best I can do is 5 inches of water with a lava rock island. At least I know he has stable temp. I tried making a beach with a siliconed in wall but it was a mess. He would keep going in and out and getting all covered in sand. Then he would go for a swim and all the sand on his body would wash off and float on the surface--and never sink unless over the under water filter maybe. After just one day the whole water surface was covered in sand, and the beach was damp and cool. |
