I went out today to our pond to get some Daphnia. But the pond levels are shrinking (water) and the one I caught (I could only find 1- alot of water boat men though, which the guppies enjoyed) Is a female w/ red "Winter eggs" inside her. I know these eggs are produced when conditions get bad, and the daphnia start to produce males. But I have 2 Questions..
1)If I provide her food and good water conditions, will she start to produce asexually again?
2) the eggs laid- I know to hatch they need a freezing/thawing period.. Could I put them in the freezer for a few days in water to freeze, once those eggs are laid, and then will they hatch?

If pets are so stupid, how did they weasel free room and board out of us?
