okay, i found this out the hard way

barbs + catfish + rainbow shark + 3 danios + ghost shrimp = Dead ghost shrimp

just if you were wondering

Doesn't surprise me at all. The shrimp would be incompatible with the shark, and depending on the type of barb and catfish, possibly those as well. Danios are usually too busy trying to create a mini-whirlpool to notice shrimp.

Also Rainbows + Ghost shrimp = rainbows with antenneas sticking out of their mouths for a bit then no ghost shrimp....

Ghost shrimp are often sold as live food. I've never given it some thought so I don't look at the prices, but they probably don't cost much more than feeder guppies.

I can get 'em for about $0.15 cents here. Of course, you have to carefully check them when you get home to make sure that a hitchhiker didn't join in. That's how I wound up with a nasty Macrobrachium.

Hey, it all depends on what macro you got. Red Claw Shrimp are probably one of the most peaceful or the most peaceful of the macros.
