I'm looking to order some shrimp online, the prices and avalability of specialty shrimp here are rediculous. I want amanos, and some cherrys.

Anyone have any good sites with good prices/shipping policies (preferably canadian)?

Check http://www.aquabid.com/. They should have some good international shrimp auctions. You could also try http://azgardens.com/, as they have a great selection of shrimp, and they ship to Canada, but from what i have heard, their shipping prices are a bit high.

I know of some people out here on the west coast
with shrimp for good prices. Not sure if youd
be wanting to ship them that far.
I wouldnt order from AZgardens.
A friend of mine ordered some denisoni barbs,
and several nasty things happened.
First, shipping was estimated at 75.00,
but ended up costing 150.00 because my friend had to
purchase a permit from the government to allow fish/inverts
to be shipping into canada.
Then, the fish got stopped at the border, and were held
for 72 hours before the proper paperwork was filled out
and the fish send on, so this voided the overnight delivery warranty on the fish.
Then, because the fish and shipping was well over 250.00,
the friend had to pay duty on them, which brought his
total to over 300.00
He was pretty cheesed off - he could have bought the fish
here at an exaggerated price and still saved money.
So, Unless you have the proper permits in order,
I would avoid buying from out of the states.

Bruce - I have ghost shrimp, and Cherry shrimp. Im not ready to sell any of my shrimp yet, but I may have enough in the spring, if youre still interested in Cherries,
I could probably work you a good deal, so you wouldnt have to pay 7-10 dollars, or whatever cherrys go for.

I will ask my Aquaria club about amanos, maybe someone
has some they would be willing to part with.

Where are you located?

So_Very_Sneaky,

At this point, the west coast would be fine. It's irritating.. I ended up paying $10 for 2 TINY TINY cherries at a LPS, and I believe them both to be MIA already! Ugh.

I'm located in London, Ont. You can contact me at taketworatrescue @ gmail . com

We can talk more!
