	My Snail Is An Algae Farmer
KimKim08 Small Fry Posts: 7 Kudos: 3 Votes: 0 Registered: 17-Oct-2008	There is a lot of algae growing on my snail's shell, should I clean him off? I just want to make sure this isn't unhealthy for him.

brandeeno Mega Fish Posts: 929 Kudos: 636 Registered: 13-Sep-2007	many ofmy larger species snails (apple, cana, mystery, briggs, spixxis) get algae on their backs. they usually get groomed by there family/friends or if it gets bad ipopo the out and give em a wipe. its njot unhealthy, but if it bothers yo-u go ahaed and \clean it off. after all fishkeeping is all about asthetics! \\\\\\\"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure\\\\\\\"
