	algae as food?

They may give algae a once over and pick off bits of the softer stuff especially if better food can't be found but they aren't spectacular algae eaters.

Natalie Ultimate Fish Guru Apolay Wayyioy Posts: 4499 Kudos: 3730 Votes: 348 Registered: 01-Feb-2003	Most Plecos are not good at cleaning algae off of fine-leave plants such as Hairgrass (though Otocinclus is possibly an exception). You might want to try the nimble Siamese Algae Eater - They are excellent algae eater and will not harm even the most delicate plants. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
