	please identify this snail

There are actually more than one species of malaysian trumpet snail but I don't know the differences. I think one is slightly bigger than the other with a slightly different shell shape.

sham Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004	They don't really do any harm it just depends if you like looking at them or not. They can end up all over a tank so some people don't like seeing that many around. You can suck up a bunch during a water change to help keep the population in check. Other than looks they don't eat plants, help clean up excess fish food, and stir the substrate so there's really nothing bad about having them.
