No filter, just 100% changes once a week. I have some pebbles in it, but am thinking about leaving that out... maybe a decoration or two for hiding purposes? and a silk plant perhaps?

I want some females, I have Brage, a brilliant blue&turquoise VT betta.. and am smitten with MBS now. Everyone keeps saying how much fun females are, so now I wanna get some too. Tee hee.

Wondering if I can safely put more than 1 female betta in that 4 gallon /15 liter bowl.

Thanks for your ideas/thoughts/responses!

**Also, if I switched Brage to the 15 l and put the girls in the 25 l... would that be better for the girls? Could 5 neons and 3 betta girls (pretty small ones, but they're also still young)

You can put Female bettas together and you can put females in with other types of fish that meet the same ph and all that, just make sure you do not over crowd them like with anyother kind of fish. Its like a gallon for every per inch of fish or something like that.

Oooh, Thanks for that. I totally forgot about that equation. (yes, I'm a fish fry!) ] That'll be perfect for 3 girls then. Wahoo! Think I'll put Brage back in teh 15 l as he was happier there (blew bubbles) and then get 3 cutie girls to play with some neons.

Thanks again!

i think you should def provide some good hiding places in case the alpha female or whatever gets aggressive

As long as their personalities don't clash you could put 2..with lots of plants and hidy holes. I got a (plastic) plant that was a huge square mat about 2" high..you can cut out pieces and it goes on the bottom of the tank. Nice rouds leaves all over it..I've found bettas LOVE getting down in this.

B, consider getting sibling sisters.

that should stop any fighting. I would personally only get 2, but 3 would work if they dont fight

The 25l might be better, I'd try 3 in there. Make sure you have lots of plants/hiding places. Getting them from a store that keeps them in community tanks is a good idea. Just make sure you're prepared in case it doesn't work out and you have alternate tanks/bowls available. Things can get ugly very quickly.
