2 random questions on labyrinths, but different ones :%)

Okay quick question number one- is it better to have one dwarf gourami or to keep them in a pair? or another way...
Number 2- how many female bettas can you keep in a 10 gallon?

Thankss in advance

With the Gourami, I would say that they would apprecite being at least a pair, as for the female bettas, I think you could have about 5.

Dwarf gouramis - if it's a male/female pair, then that shouldn't be too bad. However, they can be quite territorial, and a male/male pair in such a small space probably isn't the best of ideas.

Female bettas - I would say about three. Maybe four. Unless you happen upon some reeeeeally sweet tempered betta girls (like mine ), you may not have a lot of luck putting them together. Some betta girls are just as aggressive as their male counterparts!

I have six girls in a twenty gallon long and haven't had an issue with them. Five were bought from the same LFS, in which they were kept in a community tank. The sixth was a very shy girl I bought months later. I'm wondering what's going to happen when I introduce my latest purchase: what seemed like a very meek (beaten up on) girl, that has now shown signs of aggression in her quarantine tank. Bettas all have different personalities, so you really have to judge how many you can put in a tank by the specimens you get.

Thanks guys, I'm going to either do a single gourami or a m/f pair, depends on how much room I have.

As for the female bettas- I'm prolly going to have to special order them since I never see female bettas around here. This means they will all be from the same "batch" so hopefully they will get along. This project wont be for awhile, but its something I'm def. going to try to do, an all betta tank would just be awesomeee

Knowing nothing on GOuramis,
The female bettas if provided lots of plants and caves, you can keep 5, but make sure they are from the same tank. Like, don't go to 5 different lfs and get 1 female each.

Gouramis do enjoy the company of others (except males may be aggressive towards each other) pairs then, if no m/f, then f/f
