I tried feeding Prissy (my betta) the shrimp, but she refused it, just like she refused the pellets. So I went back to the pellets. She ate one, and then spat it back up. I probably shouldn't be worried, but I've never had a female betta live this long before, and I don't want anything to happen to her. I don't want her to die like the others. I love her very much.

On the plus side, I went shopping today and bought her some really nice silk plants, and a sunken treasure chest. she loves them! At least she is happy, even if she won't eat.

Right now I have 8 bettas, 4M/4F, and only one has given me eating problems. For the first few days he wouldn't eat anything, I figured I'd keep feeding him and eventually he'd be hungry enough to eat. It worked

Hope your girl starts eating soon

They can go for sometime w/o eating. When I brought 1 male home it took him 10 days befre he would eat. Just remember to take out any uneating food, or do water changes sooner then a week.

My male betta Elijah is THE fussiest eater. He turns his nose up at almost all betta foods(that is to say, if bettas have a nose!)

But I've had luck with HBH Betta Bites. And mosquito larvae for a treat.

P.S: If Priscilla is a fussy eater, she probably won't accept large, hard pellets (Hikari Betta bio Gold, etc.)

Good luck,hope she eats soon!
