![]() | Do Betta fry always have horizontal stripes? |

Well, before I begin, I would like to thank you for coming to read this post. Now, when I bred my Bettas, the female got horizontal stress stripes for a few seconds every embrace, and now our babies have horizontal stripes! They never go away! They are five weeks old. S, are these stripes due to genetics? Have we made a new strain? Or should they have this? Please write back! I'm counting on you guys Last edited by Lindy at 29-Sep-2004 00:10 |

So its not a new strain or anytihng. And its normal for fry to have them so don't worry!! ashley |

It's pretty simple. Breeding is stressful for females, hence the stripes. I wouldn't take it personally that no one else posted. It would have been redundant, I suppose. |
