Does anyone have one of these new eclispe explorer II with a betta in it? Is the flow too strong? Is it good for a betta?

well i have a eclipse 6 for my females and the filter isn't so storn. but for a male long fin it might be harder for him to swim, but a short tale male or female it shoyldn't be a problem.

That's a 2g so I'm thinking in that small a space there might be too much flow. It also depends on the individual fish, some seem to like more water movement.

I don't think the Explorer has a light, and Eclipse systems don't come with heaters. That might be something you want to take into consideration, for the difference in price maybe the Eclipse 3 would be better.

you could always leave the filter out. I did that with Frank's tank (2 gal explorer)

This is what I'm talking about http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=3837&Ne=40000&R=16&N=2004+2020

It does have a light also. If anyone actually has this exact eclipse explorer II with a betta in it please let me know what you think of it. Thanks

Frank is happy in one (without the filter). The current was pretty strong for him, thats why I removed it.
