I bought a red female betta from an online store, but when it arrived at my house it was a whiteish pinkish color. Is it stress? Or something else?

I would say it's stress from travel. I've ordered fish online a number of times and had the same thing happen.

This is a female betta I bought online. The first pic was taken the day she arrived, the second was less than a week later. Same tank, same lighting but a major improvement in color

Hey! You stole my fish! My betta, Sevra, looks just like that!

That is a big improvement. I looked at my new fish and I said, "well, maybe they just sent me a pinkish betta instead of the red one."

So maybe that's what it is, and maybe she isn't sick or anything. Thank you

More than likely stress, my two red females faded to almost colorless and it took them several days for them to acclimatize to the new tank and get their color back.
