Hi,
Do female bettas that are rather whitish(pale) by color, show clear distinct bars during the spawning period?
If not, how can one be sure its time to release the female to the male? Is is by looking for the oviposter?
Thanks!

I've never had a totally creamy-white one, but the pearly-marble ones do.

I'll bet they do too, but it would be much harder to tell. If you get pix, I'd love to see them!

I vote! Do you?

Looking for the ovipositor and seeing how they react to the male. If they flare, or if they put their head down and become submissive can be good cues too.
