I'm getting two new girls in the next few days Here's what I got:

Red girl: Cherrie
Pink girl: Valentina

What do you think? Are those good names, or not?

I think those would be wonderful names!
Hope you post pics when you get the females - looking forward to seeing them.

Just curious:

Are pink females rare? This is the first time I've ever even heard of a pink one. I've had a pink and blue male before, but not a solid pink.

I can't wait to see them either!! I ordered them online, and they should be here in a few days

Congrats on the girls, I like both names

I don't know how rare pink females are. I got my pink female DT at a fish auction two months ago. She was the smallest female I'd ever seen at ~3/4" long. Spunky girl for her size though.

Both these pics were taken the day after I got her.

Here's my pink girl: http://100megsfree4.com/ccatclaws/thalia.jpg That's Thalia... my other pink, Erato, is almost identical, except she doesn't have the dark pink mask that Thalia has.

As for names, those sound lovely. I tend to pick a theme and go with it, thus my girls are named after the Greek Muses (I've got seven of the nine so far *boggles*) and my boys... well, there's Vitae (Life), Liberty, Justice and Pursuit (of happiness).

Can't wait to see pictures!

Those are cute bettas!
I hope my pink girl is that pretty.

You know, my sister used to have a red boy named Monsoon. Cherrie would go great with him! He passed away a few months ago. He was very special to us both. He was our first betta. Tsunami (the pink/blue/pastel betta I used to have) would go great with Valentina. Too bad he's not with us anymore either.
