	Is oscar ok??- that is his name
blazergirl Hobbyist Posts: 86 Kudos: 75 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Jun-2005	my boyfriend and I just noticed that oscar seems to have blackish stuff coming out of his gills, maybe it is because the two of us are protective parents but we are worried- is there reason or not help would be great!!

Get him to flare (use a mirror) and see if it is still in his gill. What colour is he? Is the rest of his gill black? What type of tank do you keep him in? Does he have any tankmates?
