Keep the tank heavily planted with lots of retreats for them. They can also be quite challenging to keep due to their water quality requirements.

They don't eat flake well and need some peat to have soft water with pH 6,5 or under to be truly happy and colorfull. Otherwise they are easy and surprisingly hardy fishes.
