 | Male or female betta? |

There are a lot of gorgeous females available with fantastic coloring; that used to be an easy factor in determining males from females. Other than the long finnage I have a couple females who are as large as my males. The definite method is trying to find the white ovipositor behind the pelvic fin. Your betta looks quite dark in the pic so that shouldn't be too difficult. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

The most definite method to determine male/female ... is a little white 'spec' (ovipositor sp?) right behind the ventral/pelvic fins. This here (picture) is of one of my females, I've circled what the ovipositor looks like, and where it is. Hope this helps  As soon as you get another picture it will be easier to determine the sex!
