I was thinking of getting 2 moonlight Gouramies as they seem to be the most peaceful type but instead of getting 2 of them how would it be if i was to get 1 moonlight and 1 three spot?

3 Spots, or Blue or Gold Gouramies, are one of the more aggressive Gouramies, so I wouldn't recommend it. How about a Pearl or Banded (False Giant)? In any case, provide floating plants and lots of territory just to be safe.

I think it depends on the individual fish you have because my three-spots are the most peaceful fish in the tank. They get pretty big though. Mine are 5" and still growing.

i love moonbeams and hope to get another soon but i don't like the three spot gouramies that much.i had one in a 40 gal and it ate all the plants. but have u ever thaught about a snakeskin. Mines is large but peaceful in a tank with kribensis.
