The answer to this question will always be yes, providing the tank is large enough.

I have a dwarf blue and dwarf red and I was told I could keep the opaline or possibly the kissing gourami, but definitely not the gold, or honey. As pretty as they are and I'd like to get one or two, I'm not willing to take that chance. Good luck

i have a pair of pearls and a pair of golds in the same tank.
the pearls are mature but the golds aren't, so maybe that is a factor, but they seem to be fine. they're with slightly-aggressive fish like tigerbarbs, redtail shark and a firemouth, but both pairs get on fine with all the other fish.

tmlhaus said they were told not to keep a Honey with a Dwarf Blue - is this correct??

I have a little yellow and red honey male and the LFS said it was fine to add a Dwarf Blue and a Dwarf Coral so I did!! The Blue and Coral pretty much ignore the Honey but the Coral pays the Blue alot of attention.

FYI it's a tall 70 litre tank with 6 white cloud minnows and 6 neon's sharing.

I have gold, blue, opaline, snakeskin and 1 sunset thicklip. I think I may take the sunset thicklip out, since it's a dwarf, as well as some of the other smaller fish I have in the tank. Even though they don't seem to be bothered by the big gouramis in the tank, they still seem to get little stressed at times when the tension rises too much.

The big gouramis get territorial with each other at times but it is very mild agression. I have a 55gal with plants for hiding places.

It depends on the type of Gourami you mean. Try and avoid mixing small ones like Honeys and Dwarves with the colour variants of the Three Spot. Chocolate and Licorice Gourmais aren't community fish anyway and need species tanks. Sparkling Gouramis are too small and timid for any but the most peaceful of communities, with equally small tank mates.

I have 2 male dwarf gouramis and they very territorial. If they wander into one anothers space the intruder gets chased out. For the most part they stay in their own space. If I added another type of gourami I'd be asking for trouble.

I also had 2 male dwarves in the same tank, along with a Honey.

I had the Honey first and went to the LFS and asked if putting in 2 dwarves with it would be ok - they said yes - no worries!

But the 2 male dwarves fought the whole time until they finally killed each other (one died of wounds and then the other a few days later) and completely ignored the little honey which now shares the tank with some tetras.
