There are several color morphs, varying shades of blue and a red one. A dwarf gourami would be fine with your stocking. EDIT: I Just saw the other part of your post...If it were me, I would just get one. Many pet stores only sell males, and two males can get very territorial. So, be safe and get one. As long as your fish would be ok with the gourami it is most likely that a gourami would be ok with your fish. However, every fish has its own personality and you can never know for sure. Also, I have heard that it is ok to put two males together and they really prefer to be in pairs over living by themselves. |
