HI guys okay anyone here know anythig about genetics Im sure someone has to!! I spawned a blue/green crowntail and a red veiltail anyone know what the majority of fry will look like? also they are 2 weeks old now when will they start showing their colors? thanks much

Veil is more dominant over ct, so the fry will be veil. But they may show a bit of ct. If you keep breeding siblings u will end up with crown veils.

They may start showing colours in a few weeks. Use a flashlight to see better. It just depends on how fast they grow.

I'm guessing they are pet shop bettas, so genetically they are a bit of a mixed bag.

you are likely to get combtail-looking multis i think, probably all with a bit of red/red wash.

right the genetics are impossible to find if they are petshops, but 1 question. why would u breed multies. o.k but that's not the point. u should get veils and some will have little spikes. as far the colors it is hard to tell. since red is a dominate color and blue/green are secondary most of the fish will either have alot of red wash or might be red with blue wash. like i said the colors are hard to tell.
