i have a few pictures of my old betta, which i haven't shown anyone, so i thought this would be an appropriate place to do so. this is my old betta, maxi, who unfortunately died because of accidental poisoning when i was taking care of invasions of ant colonies in my apartment.

i recently bought another male betta, just over a week ago. i pick them up if they have interesting colouration. i don't have a picture of my new guy, josé, but he's really interesting. he's got a fantail (like a plakat, but his pelvic fin is too long to be one), he's yellow all over, blue eyes, a little bit of irredescent green at the base of the tail, with a tiny bit of black lining the fringe of his tail. i'll try and get a picture as soon as i can to show you guys.

That was a very beautiful Betta. I'm sorry that you lost it, but next time take more care when using poison.

He is a beautiful betta and looks just like one of my guysI bet when he flairs he is just beautifulas well

I'll have to get a new photo of kelpiey flairing and show you

Can't wait to see pics of the new guy, and sorry about your loss, I was spraying for fleas earlier, and before I even begin I put a towel over everyone's tanks to be sure

Wow... looks just like my Firecracker. Such a pretty coloration, isn't it? I love butterflies. Sorry to hear he passed on, but I'm sure he was happy with you while he was there!
