Two weeks ago i separated my male betta from my community tank, because he started being aggressive. Now i think that one of my gold gouramis has been attacked/is sick, and i want to have him live alone for a while. Can i take my betta out of his bowl and put him back in my community tank and house the gourami in his bowl for a couple of days? Did my male betta loose all of his "territorial claims"?

I'd be less concerned about lost terratory & more concerned about confining a gourami in a betta bowl How big's the bowl? If it's too small it'll just stress him out, making whatever ailment he has even worse

well, i just tried. so that i wouldnt stress out the sick gourami too much, i put the betta into the large tank first and observed for 20 min. Well he was chasing everyone around and being aggressive, i've never kept him with other fish before, because i haven't had more than a betta in almost a year. my old one was peacefull toward my mollies. So i put him back in his bowl and hope that the other fish leave the injured one alone (and i think they do, they come close to it and just stare)

That's probably best for the gourami. Some male bettas just aren't suited for community living. None of mine can
